How to Turn Off Autorun/Autoplay on Windows 7

To perform this task, Follow the following steps.

Step 1:

 Open Run Task (Click here to see the shortcut for it). Window is appear like this.

Step 2:

Type the command "gpedit.msc" in Run Task Window. And Click on "OK" button.

Step 3:


A window is open then in new opened window choose the options as given below.

Computer Configuration-->Administrative Templates-->Windows Components-->Autoplay Policies

Step 4:

Double Click on the "Turn off Autoplay" at the right side window. shown in figure.

Step 5:

A new window is open. In that window "Not configured" option is already selected. You have to select "Enable" option for turn off autoplay. As shown in figure and click on "Apply" and "OK" button.
